About Dr. Jessica Listwa DMD
Jessica Listwa, DMD, is an experienced board-certified pediatric dentist at Dental Arts of Hoboken in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Dr. Listwa knew she wanted to be a pediatric dentist since she was three years old when she was first made comfortable by a dentist – and their stickers. Now she works each day to put her patients first, taking care to make sure each child is comfortable and that she is making the best decisions to help them overall, as well as to support their dental health.
Dr. Listwa is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Academy of Development Medicine and Dentistry, and the New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also on the board of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Committee’s Council on Clinical Affairs, Committee on Special Health Care Needs.
After graduating from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, Dr. Listwa attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) with honors in community service. She then completed her residency at the Connecticut Children's NICU at UConn Health Center in Farmington, Connecticut, with a certificate in pediatric dentistry.
In her free time, Dr. Listwa is an outspoken advocate for special needs kids. She runs a website for caregivers and parents called ExceptionalSmiles.Org, which offers advice and recommendations for improving oral health and hygiene for people with special needs.
She is also a clinical director at Special Smiles in New Jersey, which offers comprehensive oral health care for Special Olympic athletes. Dr. Listwa also enjoys exploring all Hoboken has to offer with her daughter and husband on the weekends.
